The institution was published u/s 6(b) (ii) of the Act 30/87 and comes under the administration control of the Deputy Commissioner, Endowments Department, Kakinada.
4.Registration :
The temple was registered u/s 38 of the Act by the President of H.R.E. Board, Madras in order in O.A.No. 884, dtd: 20-02-1950.
5.Trust Board :
There is no Trustboard to the temple. Sri Chimalakonda Ravi Jagadeesh was the Founder’s Family Member to the subject institution as per the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, Endowments Department, Kakinada in Rc.No. B5/551/2005, dtd: 01-03-2006. He was taken oath on 18-03-2006.
6.Sthala Puranam :
కొన్ని శతాబ్దాల క్రితం నూజివీడు జమిందారు ధర్మ అప్పారావు సద్ బ్రాహ్మణులకు అగ్రహారములను దానమిచ్చినట్టు తెలుస్తుంది. ఒకనాడు ఆయన సేవకులతో అరణ్యమర్గాన వేలుచుండగా ఒక బోటి(స్త్రీ)భక్తి పారవశ్యముతో గానం చేస్తుండగా విని ఆనందభరితులై ఈ స్తలమహత్యాన్ని విని నాటి మహా విద్వంసమణులైన చీమలకొండ వారి పవిత్ర వంశీయులకు దానమిచ్చినారు.నాటి బోటిపాట నేటి బోడపాడు అయిoదని ప్రతీతి. కొన్నాళ్ళకు అగ్రహారికులైన శ్రీ చిమలకొండ వారు పలువురు సద్ బ్రాహ్మణ కుటుంబీకులు శిష్యగణంతో ఇక్కడకు వలస వచ్చారు.ఈ అరణ్య ప్రాంతాన్ని నివాసయోగ్యంగా మార్చి వేదాద్యాయన తత్పరులై నిరతము కాలం గడిపారు.ఒక రోజు వారికి ఆది దంపతులైన ఉమామహేశ్వరులు ప్రసన్నమూర్తులై దర్శనమిచ్చి "మీరు శుద్ధి చేసే ప్రదేశంలో (నేడు ఆలయం ఉన్న ప్రదేశంలో)మేమంతర్గతలమై ఉన్నామని చెప్పి మాయమైయారని, మరునాటి ఉదయాన ఈ శుభ స్వప్న వృతాంతం ఆధారంగా ఆ ప్రదేశంలో తవ్వగా భూమి నుంచి 'ఓం'కార ధ్వనులు ప్రారంభమవడంతో వారు ఆశ్చర్యానికి గురైయ్యారు. దీంతో త్రవ్వకానికి ఉపయోగించిన సామ్రాగ్రిని ప్రక్కన పెట్టి స్వహస్తాలతో మట్టిని తీసారు. శ్రీ రామలింగేశ్వర స్వామివారు, బాలత్రిపుర సుందరీ, శ్రీ గణపతి సహితుడై దర్శనమిచ్చినారు. వారిని అక్కడే బధ్ర పరచి, చిన్న ఆలయం నిర్మించి నాటినుండి సేవలు చేస్తున్నారు. తర్వాత ఒక పెద్ద శివలింగం, ఒక నంది, చిన్న గణపతి విగ్రహం కాల్వలో దొరికాయి. వాటిని వడ్డుకు చేర్చి ఆలయం నిర్మించాలని తలస్తే, స్వామి స్వప్నంలో కనిపించి వాటిని ఒక్కడే అలాగే ఉంచాలని చెప్పడంతో ఒక్కడే నేటికి పూజలు నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు.

9.Land Acquisition :
An extent of Ac. 5-06 cts under R.S.No. 108 situated at Bodapadu Village was acquired by the Revenue Department for providing House Sites to weaker sections through their orders in Roc.No.B/124/1993, dtd: 23-05-1996 of the Revenue Division Officer, Eluru. The Revenue Departmental Authorities paid 80% of compensation of Rs. 4,20,992/-. The remaining 20% of compensation and deferential value of market rate was so far not paid by the Revenue Authorities.
10. Lease of Lands :
All the lands were leased out in public auction. The lands of Ac 30-32 cts situated at Bodapadu Village was leased out in public auction on 06-07-2008 for a period of three years from 2008-09 to 2010-11 and the leases were approved by the Deputy Commissioner, Endowments Department, Kakinada in D.Dis.No.B5/11608/2008, dated 04-08-2008. Another extent of Ac. 7-28 cts situated at Meenavillur Village was leased out in public auction on 12-06-2006 for a period of three years from 2006-07 to 2008-09 and the leases were approved by the Deputy Commissioner, Endowments Department, Kakinada in D.Dis.No.B5/11566/ 2006, dated 13-07-2006. Another extent of Ac. 1-71 cts situated at Chintapalli Village was leased out in public auction 17-06-2008 for a period of three years from 2008-09 to 2010-2011 and the same was approved by the Deputy Commissioner, Endowments Department, Kakinada in D.Dis.No. B5/11019/2008, dtd: 30-07-2008.
